Description It is an antiseptic ointment used for skin disinfection to prevent infections through open skin. It is used as an important component of a home first aid kit to clean and disinfect minor injuries. It kills harmful micro-organisms that may cause infections through the wounds. The micro-organisms include viruses, fungi, protozoa and bacteria. It should not be used by hyperthyroidism patients. Talk to your pharmacist if you are on medication for hyperthyroidism such as carbimazole and propylthiouracil. Usage Apply a thin film to the affected area 1 to 3 times daily. Cover with a sterile bandage.
