While Volkswagen does not sell the genuine arms in the exact original length, Thule offers replacement arms that are the same length or very close in size. These replacement arms come with Thule’s updated thumbscrew design, so the thumbscrew may look slightly different from the one originally fitted to the bike rack. When choosing the arm you require, they are numbered going outwards, i.e., Bike Holder 1 is the nearest to the back of the van Please note the measurements are taken from the pin in the center of the gripping claw to the center of the hole in the clamp that secures around the bike rack frame.
